SINCE 1956, Midland Children’s Rehabilitation Center ( MCRC MCRC)) has been a beacon of hope for families across West Texas. What began as the Cerebral Palsy Center that served 25 children annually, has turned into a thriving pediatric therapy center that now serves over 600 children a year. Jim Crawford joined the Center as a physical therapist in 1960 and a few years later became Saul Herrera’s therapist. The two worked together over the years and developed a sweet friendship that remains today. Mr. Crawford continues to work on staff at MCRC as an equine assistant and honorary board member, while Saul spent 32 years working for Senior Life of Midland and serves as a MCRC board member. Their continued relationship is an example of the heart behind MCRC and the type of care that patients have been receiving for 70 years.
