DIGITAL TUTORIALS

Julie McAllister is a Charleston-based cake artist who artistically transforms the centerpiece of any celebration—cake—into an astonishing life-like representation, elevating the traditional dessert into an awe-inspiring work of art. With a focus on subjects iconic to the South, she works to ensure that her designs exceed expectations, then uses her meticulous eye for detail and artful hand to create extravagant designs that deceive and delight the eye.

McAllister’s work has captured the attention of celebrities and nationally known Southern brands. In addition to creating show-stopping celebration cakes, she travels around the Southeast teaching hyper-realistic cake artistry workshops with quintessentially lowcountry themes, such as painting chocolate oyster shells or molding Lowcountry boil cake toppers.

rough her in-depth digital tutorials, Julie shares the art of hyper-realistic cake making, o ering step-bystep guidance inspired by the beauty of Charleston and the Lowcountry. You can watch her ex her cake skills on Net ix (Is It Cake? Season 3), the Food Network and Discovery+ (Holiday Wars Season 4). She was also honored as one of the winners of the Create TV Cooking Challenge.

From stunning cakes to creative workshops, Julie McAllister turns ideas into edible art.

WHERE REFINED STYLE MEETS SEAMLESS PLANNING

Nouvelle Weddings exists to create planning experiences that feel calm, intentional, and deeply personal. With a focus on trust, thoughtful design, and flawless execution, our team is dedicated to making each celebration feel meaningful for the couple and for everyone they’ve invited to be part of it.

The iconic Pink Hotel has been on the corner of Meeting and Queen Streets for 170 years and counting. At The Mills House, experience southern traditions with a modern twist and a taste of everything that makes Charleston special.

Every space is tailored to the client’s wants and needs, imbuing each project with a sui generis quality. e client’s shared vision is brought to life, with assiduous attention to detail, via rooms that are faultlessly functional, enduringly beautiful, and personally satisfying.

If the goal of every great event is to have your guests enjoy themselves so thoroughly that they thank you for being invited, then the design process must foresee the experience from the guests’ eyes, envisioning every sip, every step, in fact, every sensorial moment.
