Dear Friends, Welcome to 2020 at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts! As the newest member of the management team at this beautiful performing arts center, I have the pleasure of working closely with our creative and passionate staff to ensure the performances we provide are meeting the needs of the entire Scottsdale community. We do this by presenting a variety of genres, from classical concerts, Broadway performances, and contemporary dance to contemporary circus performances, singer/ songwriters, jazz, and everything in between—at a variety of prices to help make these performances accessible to all. This is our third performance guide this season—and we have added even more exciting shows to our schedule. These new performances include the Jazz Lounge series in Stage 2, additional artists in our Live & Local series, Sunday A’Fair performers, the United States premiere of the Gershwin Piano Quartet in partnership with Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, and much more. Make sure to check out the 50th anniversary Scottsdale Arts Festival! The Scottsdale Civic Center Park is fully open, and the Festival will return to its full glory to celebrate this milestone. There are many special activities planned and there is no place more beautiful than the Scottsdale Civic Center in the spring. Come out and enjoy sunshine, art, music, dance, and more. Proceeds from the Festival help underwrite programming for Scottsdale Arts. The Center is a branch of Scottsdale Arts, and we are proud to work alongside Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA), Scottsdale Public Art, and Scottsdale Arts Learning & Innovation. As partners, we explore synergies among our programs and work together to provide even deeper and more meaningful engagements with our audiences. Together, we embrace the arts throughout Scottsdale. Whether you are a longtime supporter of the Center or are learning about us for the first time, we are excited to share these performances with you and to have you in our theater! Sincerely,

Meribeth Reeves Managing Director Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts
