R HY T H M 7 June - 1 July 2017 Rhythm is Stacey Bentley’s second solo exhibition at The Scottish Gallery, following Enamel Jewellery in 2011.

Originally from West Yorkshire, and a graduate from Edinburgh College of Art, Stacey has been working as a jeweller for over six years from her Edinburgh studio.

This collection is inspired by travels abroad with influence from Islamic Art, Egyptian architecture and African jewellery techniques to name a few. Using materials such as vitreous enamel, oxidised silver and gold leaf to create bold, elegant statement pieces; Stacey’s jewellery is a celebration of colour and form.

Through the use of geometric and repetitive patterns, Stacey is able to create jewellery that articulates and moves with the curves and contours of the body. Her work has been exhibited both within the UK and internationally.
