A Brief Word from Chris Garten If it takes a village to raise a child, what does it take to raise 1000? It takes the tireless efforts of a dedicated faculty and staff, each fully committed to bringing out the very best in young people. It takes, too, unfailing support of parents, all committed to nurturing their children’s talents and nourishing their ambitions. It takes the energy and commitment of an army of volunteers who buttress the efforts of teachers and coaches and counselors throughout the year.
Seven Hills bid farewell to the 70 members of the Class of 2011 in commencement exercises June 3. By choice of the seniors, the commencement speaker was Thane Maynard, Director of the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden. Tributes to the class were given by teacher Sandra Smythe, parent Bruce Brown, and class member Virgilio Urbina Lazardi.
