A conversation with the Head of College Mr John Weeks

Welcome to Winter The Central West has had its first official dumping of snow this week, just in time for the first day of Winter. Some of our roads were blocked and a small number of students were not able to get to school. If a road is blocked in the morning with snow or ice, our buses may not be able to get through to collect students for school. As it will be difficult to send out notifications at this time, I would encourage parents and carers to keep an eye on the weather so they will know this might be likely. It can be different for each area. In the event of snow falling throughout the day, we will be guided by the advice of the police and local bus companies, who call all schools and let them know if they need to depart early to get students home. If this happens, we will notify families via Operoo as soon as possible. If you have any queries about the bus arrangements, please contact Mr Warren Stocks via connect@scotsallsaints.nsw.edu.au 2022 Musical Showcase After a two-year COVID-19 induced delay, our very talented music students will be holding their Musical Showcase extravaganza at BMEC on Friday, 17 June 2022, from 6:00 pm. All music students from Kindergarten to Year 12 will perform and will be sure to provide a wonderful and

entertaining evening. You can expect orchestras, choirs and smaller ensembles – ending in a grand finale! Tickets can be purchased on the BMEC website and will be very well worth it. Equestrian team to Coona Thirty-five of our avid horse riders will be travelling to Coonabarabran with their horses this week to compete in Australia's largest interschool equestrian event. Representing the College, they will be competing in a range of events: polocrosse, eventing, dressage, team penning, hacking, working horse challenge, cross country and showjumping. This event is the culmination of many weeks and months of work for the students, staff and coaches and will be the highlight of the equestrian calendar. We wish them all a safe and successful trip.
