means that this movement should be played objectively, without the common ”romantic” espressivo. But at the same time the music should be played cantabile and dolce. The general dynamic is mp, in dynamic balance between the instruments.
II. page 6 senza espressivo, ben articolare e poco marcato sempre
means that this movement should be played without ordinary espressivo, like in the first movement. Play always well articulated with a small accent on each note. Play non legato sempre. The general dynamic is mp.
III. page 9 tutta la forza, ben marcato sempre
means that this movement is to be played ff with dynamic balance as before. Each note should be well accentuated. Play non legato sempre.
