ThepercussionpartiswrittenforIngarZachandhissetupoftransducerspeakersand drummembranes.Forthefirstperformanceheusedtimpani,GranCassaandsmaller objectstoexcitethemembranesofthedrums(metalrings,bells,triangles,crotalietc.).
Themembranesareexcitedwithsoundfilescontainingrecordingsofthechoir,drones indifferentpitches.Themembranesarconstantlymanipulatedthroughoutthepiece,ad lib.,withobjectsdescribedaboveaswellaswithtuningkeysandhands.
ThesoundfilesareplayedfrominIPadfeedingthetransducers.ThisiPadalsocontains twoapps,DroneoandRibbands,usedforthesinetonesinpartIIandIII.
Therecordedchoirdroneshavethefollowingpitces:
