Chamber Music VII was commissioned by the Crusell Music Festival, Uusikaupunki, Finland and first performed at the festival on 31 July 2009 by the Virtuosi di Kuhmo Chamber Orchestra, conducted by John Storgårds, with soloists from Finland’s Radio Symphony Orchestra: Petri Alanko (flute), Jorma Valjakka (oboe), Christoffer Sundqvist (clarinet), Esa Tapani (French horn) and Jussi Särkkä (bassoon) Duration : circa 20 minutes
