• Review the discoveries of the Adverse Childhood Experiences study and the significant life-long health impacts of early trauma and toxic stress • Understand why children exposed to ACEs are at elevated risk for chronic disease and risky behavior • Increase awareness of trauma-responsive practice and the ripple effects of secondary traumatic stress • Develop strategies to respond to children who present with trauma symptoms • Increase awareness of statewide resources, including the Prevention of ACEs Data to Action Project and the Michigan ACEs Initiative Email meeting notices will be sent in early September.
