Caduceus Meeting for Recovering Health Care Professionals
continued from page 28 • Masks have long been used in the delivery of health care services in hospitals and other health care settings, especially in the operating room. o House Bill 4471 would instead allow unmasked and unvaccinated individuals to regularly come in close contact with patients, many of whom are critically ill. • This legislation would ignore hundreds of years of infection control research and severely hinder the ability of employers to protect the health and wellness of their employees and their customers. • There have been no efforts at the state-level in Michigan to implement government-backed COVID-19 vaccine mandates. Further, the Governor has already stated that she does not have plans to implement any such policy.
