Application Form: The application process for IAT will start in the fourth week of May 2023. The application form will only be released through online mode and made available to eligible candidates only.

The last date to submit the application form for the SCB channel will be in the first week of June 2023.

To apply, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria and can apply for all IISERs through a common application form. Only credit cards, debit cards, net banking, and other online payment channels are acceptable for use in the application fee submission procedure.

Eligibility Requirements for the IISER: To appear for the IISER Aptitude Test 2023, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER). The eligibility criteria are as follows:

Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Age limit: General and OBC category candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1998, while SC/ST and PwD category candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1993.

Academic qualifications: The candidate should have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2021 or 2022 with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and/or Biology) and secured at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) in aggregate.

Minimum marks in each subject: The candidate should have scored at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) in each of the science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and/or Biology).

It is important to note that meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission to the IISERs. Candidates will have to clear the aptitude test, which is a mandatory requirement for admission.

Exam Pattern for IISER:

The IISER exam is an important exam for students aspiring to pursue a career in science. IISER examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research for admission to its 5-year integrated BS-MS program. Therefore, to excel in this exam, it is important to have a clear understanding of the exam pattern.

The IISER 2023 exam will be a computer-based test, and the duration of the exam will be 180 minutes.

The question paper will include three sections, namely Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with a total of 60 questions.

Each section will have 20 questions, and each question will carry 3 marks.

There will be negative markings, and for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

The exam will be conducted in English only.
