“ Today, the widest variety of perspectives is needed when making business and financial decisions. Graduates of the Schulich Master of Accounting program are highly valued in the workplace for their ability to bring culturally, ethically and environmentally-informed frameworks into business settings.” MARCIA ANNISETTE, PROGRAM DIRECTOR, MASTER OF ACCOUNTING

MULTIPLE PATHWAYS Depending on your academic background, the Schulich MAcc offers three distinct entry points, preparing you for success in the complex field of accounting while fast-tracking you through CPA Ontario’s Professional Education Program (PEP). The Diploma in Intermediate Accounting (DIAc) provides non-business graduates as well as individuals that have graduated from non-Canadian institutions with the prerequisites required to stream seamlessly into the MAcc. Business graduates from CPA-Accredited programs and Canadian business degrees commence the MAcc in Term 1 and may be eligible for advanced standing in Term 1 courses. Schulich i/BBA graduates from the CPA stream may start the MAcc in Term 2 of the program. ACCA members, and affiliates with an undergraduate degree, may also receive advanced standing toward earlier completion of the MAcc. GAIN THE OPPORTUNITY TO WRITE THE COMMON FINAL EXAMINATION (CFE) UPON GRADUATION Study with highly engaged instructors who dialogue about relevant, real-world accounting applications. With a focus on case-based integrative learning, the broad curriculum will help you to accomplish two important objectives. First, you will master key accounting functions and hone the ability to make decisions within legal, financial, regulatory and ethical frameworks.

Second, you will deepen your expertise in two streams; whether tax, assurance, performance management or finance, preparing you for the Common Final Examination (CFE). To support and accommodate working professionals, Term 3 is offered in a biweekly weekend format to prepare you with the final tools you need to successfully complete the CFE and accelerate your career. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES Beyond the classroom, you’ll find opportunities to continue expanding your connections as you meet industry leaders at co-curricular and career networking events. The Schulich MAcc will provide you with the critical thinking and business acumen required to make informed finance and accounting decisions. Top firms from both the private and the public accounting sector hire Schulich MAcc graduates in a variety of functions, including financial accounting, cost accounting, tax planning, estate planning and auditing. The MAcc could lead you to an exciting career in an organization such as KPMG, CIBC, PwC, Citco, or Ernst & Young.
