PE Learning Sample

Today Y1 pupils had great fun visiting Durham University Sports Campus.

We took part in six activities including; parachute games, karate, yoga, gymnastics, team relay games and bowling. It was great fun to work alongside other schools and compete for points. At the end of the afternoon we met Sporty Bear - it was great to use the skills we have learned this year so far to complete his challenges!

KS2 Mixed Cross– Country Children across key stage 2, took part in the cross country at Preston Park.

Year 4—Active Learning Challenge A group of year 4 children took part in an active learning challenge where they had to solve multiple maths and English problems, including challenges linking to time, word families, addition and ordering while also completing several different physical activities.

Our year 5 children have took part in a sports leaders award in an attempt to introduce more sport and activities into the school playground. The leaders will try to support all children in accessing new fun games in which they can enjoy throughout playtimes and lunchtimes. Children learn how to lead games, referee games and make them fun and exciting for all!
