LEFT BRAIN? “I love the honors program at Schreiner because it allows me to be surrounded with like-minded individuals and strives for out-of-the-box thinking. These individuals are driven, motivated and intuitive. The honors program also allows me to be taught by professors not in the science program and give outside perspectives on subjects.” “I have had great internship experiences in various fields, including research that has helped me grow as a person, but also help me to reach my goals and prepare me for medical school.” Tayler Hobberlin ’14 Major: Biology/Pre-Med Hometown: Costa Mesa, CA

ATHLETICS The SU men’s soccer team has gained support of the fuzzier variety. Paul Hayes, head coach, brings his Boxer, Max, to soccer practice frequently. Max often helps gather cones from the field and always is close by to offer some slobbery support. The lovable canine has been adopted as an honorary mascot by the team.
