UNIFORM GUIDELINES
Proud of our uniform School uniform is compulsory for all students attending the school. We believe that wearing school uniform in a proud and smart manner promotes positive self-esteem and, therefore, is integral to the ethos of the school. All students are expected to arrive at school every day in uniform, worn in a tidy manner.

Reminder: Except for PE, only black leather shoes must be worn. Children must always wear the blazer when arriving or leaving the school (except Summer days when use of blazer is optional)
Daily Shoes With the exception of P.E., shoes should be black and leather (or synthetic leather)
General Appearance Shirts and ties Shirts top buttons should always be done up, shirts always tucked in and ties should always be fully pulled up to the collar. Hair Hair should be of a natural colour, clean, tidy and brushed, should not be cut in an extreme manner. Long hair should be tied back. Make Up In Early Years and Primary school, no make up is allowed. In Secondary school, subtle make up may be worn. Nail Varnish is not permitted.
General Appearance Jewellery For all pupils, jewellery should be subtle and discreet. Items allowed include: (1) One necklace worn tucked inside the blouse or shirt. (2) One thin, simple bracelet. (3) Pair of stud earrings. In addition, in Secondary school, small hoops earrings or pendant in earlobes may be worn as well as an unostentatious ring. Visible body piercing of any kind, except for a pair of earrings, is forbidden at all times. It is forbidden for any pupil to carry out piercing while they are at school. Safe and sensible Use With the exception of stud earrings, all jewellery must be removed for PE Lessons or intense play times. Parents are dissuaded from allowing children to bring expensive jewellery items to school, to avoid damage or loss.
Reminder: All clothes worn to school should be clearly labelled with the child’s name.
Additional Information Switch from Summer to Winter Winter uniform is usually worn from mid-October until the end of March, the school will advise on the exact date depending on the weather. Dates may change at the discretion of the Headteacher. PE days On PE days (twice a week) children should come to school wearing their PE uniform. Sports shoes are expected to be plain white with few markings. Use of Blazer Our blazer has been designed to be light and comfortable. With the exception of PE days and designated Summer days (in which case use of blazer is optional), students must wear the blazer when arriving and departing the school, as well as during special events. During the winter months, children are encouraged to wear the blazer throughout the day.
