Welcome to the 3rd edition of the BSSP magazine. A great musician once said: “the more I do it, the better it gets.” I think you’ll agree that it’s the case with our publication. In this latest edition, we guide you through the new teachers who joined in January and have helped propel us forward with boundless enthusiasm and energy. Not only that, but we’ve taken inspiration from our recent Book Week and well, inspiration itself, to write about our favourite books and people who inspire us. These people might be close at home or they might be world famous. Inspiration comes from many sources or in the case of one famous footballer, sauces. Ian Rush, when he left Liverpool for Juventus famously shipped with him hundreds of tins of Heinz Baked Beans. Now what’s that they say about the strangest of places. LEON CLARKE HEADTEACHER

Q: Why do you love BSSP? A: A Fantastic school with fantastic children! Q: What should we eat or drink in order to sing perfectly? A: Avoid drinking orange juice before singing because orange bits stick in your throat. Q: Do children in BSSP sing and play well? A:Of course! They are very creative and have amazing rhythm and voices.

Mister Lazarides Year 3 and 4 Teacher
Q: Why did you choose BSSP? A: Because it is a great school! People here are amazing! Q: What is your favourite subject to teach? A: English and History. Q: What is your favourite colour? A: Green - because I'm the Turing House Leader! Q: What is your favourite country? Where do you want to live? A: I love Greece but Russia is the best for living. Q: What is your favourite subject to learn? A: Science Q: Where did you teach before? A: Two schools in New Zealand and one in Canada. Q: What is your favourite season of the year? A: Summer, of course! Q: When is your birthday? A: 24th November. I look forward to many presents... New Year has always been one of my favourite holidays. And if someone asks me why, I will definitely say: “Because of the magic spirit!”. Yes, yes, yes! Magic is always in the air at that time of the year. A real fairy tale all of a sudden comes in our lives. All the city is decorated with garlands, people put beautiful Christmas trees and wreaths on their doors, as well as presents in red socks. I love New Year because only warm and cosy things surround you and do not let you be sad.

Q: Why did you join BSSP? A: I wanted to try living in a new city, the UK is in lockdown, so I escaped to freedom! Q: Who is your best friend in the school? A: Miss Herman. Q: Who inspires you? A: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez! Q: What is your favorite subject to teach? A: Everything with EYFS, but also French and PE. Q: What was your dream when you were a child? A: I wanted to be a vet. Q: What is your favorite colour? A: Blue. Go Eliot! New Year has always been one of my favourite holidays. And if someone asks me why, I will definitely say: “Because of the magic spirit!”.
