Some weeks we will test a hypothesis and other weeks you will be given a challenge to try and solve! This club will help you build confidence in Science through fun discoveries. Mathsketeers Day: Tuesday Teacher: Miss Clough Email: michelle.clough@britishschool.pt Description: The purpose of Maths Club is to develop the children’s love of Maths. We will do this through games, activities and competitions. Children will work cooperatively to complete Logic and Maths Puzzles, whilst developing their skills and having fun! Ball Games Day: Tuesday Teacher: Mr. Hubbard Email: allen.hubbard@britishschool.pt Description: Have fun playing a range of fun and challenging ball games over the next few weeks. Each week, we will learn and practise the key skills and rules for a different game and then play a game. We will try football, hockey, netball, bench ball, basketball and rounders. Singing Stars Day: Wednesday Teacher: Miss Dutot Email: colette.dutot@britishschool.pt Description: Singing Stars is a choir for Y2 - Y4 children. Develop your voice and a lifelong love of singing through experiencing the pleasure of group singing! We will also work towards building a repertoire for future performances. Ages: Year Two, Year Three & Year Four Cost: Free
Coding Club Day: Wednesday Teacher: Mr. Laird Email: headmaster@britishschool.pt Description: Anyone can code, you can too! Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, we’ll make coding great fun with games designed to help you improve. We’ll start with ‘Rapid Router’, which is designed for those who are new to coding. Once you complete a series of levels, you’ll move onto ‘Kurono’ where you can test your skills in ‘Python’. Finally, we will build our Lego ‘Wedos’ and ‘Mindstorms’ and begin to use our coding skills to get our robots to carry out tasks. If you’re a techie kind of kid, you’ll love this ASA. DramAttic Day: Wednesday Teacher: Mrs. Serra Email: susana.serra@britishschool.pt Description: Have you ever heard someone tell you: ‘Don’t be so dramatic!’ or ‘You’re a drama Queen!’… Well, good news for you! At our club you will have the chance to put into practice all your drama and expression skills. We will work with our voice, facial expressions and body movements. Judo Club Teacher: Mr Morais Email: morais.joaopedrogs@gmail.com Description: BSL Judo ASA is taught by an instructor from Judo Clube de Lisboa. Judo teaches young children many important lessons about respect, self-confidence and discipline while increasing strength, flexibility and coordination. Ages: Year Two, Year Three & Year Four Cost: 1 session per week (Mondays 3.30pm-4.30pm) : €80 per term, plus 20€ for a Judo Gi. 2 sessions per week (Mondays 3.30pm-4.30pm + Saturday morning 45mins session - Time TBC): €150 per term, plus 20€ for a Judo Gi.
