Following on from the ‘Whole School Exemplars’ report series, the 5 architects involved in this project were asked to develop their concepts into ‘Whole Town Models’ - a range of feasible architectural concepts based on a real case study in an ‘urban’ context. jmarchitects have explored the idea of a campus-like structure as a way of embracing the urban features of a town, and make more prominent the links between its cultural and community buildings, as well as other public space. These spaces can be used to map routes and journeys through the town, to encourage the learning experience for all, as well as contribute to the regeration of the town.
