Being fair means to play by the rules, being openminded, and to treat people right.

Synonyms: equity, impartiality, and decency

Students, you can show fairness by:

Sharing and taking turns

Including others in games and activities

Respecting people who are different from you.

Parents below you will find ways to incorporate fairness at home:

Make expectations clear and predictable as possible. When children complain that something is not fair, listen to their feelings and let them tell you why they think things are unfair.

Explain and model that we treat everyone with respect. Set goals for each family member on how they will show fairness. Make every effort to treat all of your children equitably.

Participate in community events that reflect or address cultural diversity.
