Dear Aviator Family, 2021 - 2022 was a year of rebuilding. After the disruption that COVID- 19 caused, many of us did not know what to expect as we were returning to inperson learning after a year and a half of teaching using dual modalities. In true Aviator fashion, our students, faculty, and sta took on the challenge and exceeded all expectations set. We reached our goals, made new memories, strengthened our academic skills, built stronger bonds, and had lots of fun while doing so.

Looking back at how much we accomplished in a year like this, it makes me proud to be part of the Aviator Family. Our students, parents, faculty, and sta are like no other. We work together, put forth maximum e ort, and always strive to be the best version of ourselves. I thank you all for your continuous support to AIE and hope that we continue to enhance the educational experience of all our learners.

It has been a privilege to watch you grow, develop, and learn throughout the years. The best part of our school is that we get to nurture our learners from the time they are in Kindergarten to their high school graduation day Next school year we will get to see this play out as we graduate our rst seniors, the Class of 2023.

Dear AIE Family,

I am honored to serve as the AIE K- 5 Principal and work with devoted students, parents, and teachers full of endless energy and commitment.

Now that the unexpected, challenging, and unknown school years are in the past, I can assure you that the 2021 - 2022 school year brought not only a sense of normalcy but joy, optimism, and resilience. Teachers and administrators couldn’t be happier and thankful to have all students return to in-person school this school year.

I write this message with a humble and cheerful heart to all of you: students, families, PTO, community, board members, faculty, and sta to thank you for all your support and perseverance. Together, we continued striving for academic growth and excellence, celebrated successes, and embarked on another productive school year full of new challenges such as addressing learning loss and the social-emotional component of all students.

To our fth-grade students, I wish you the best in middle school, and always remember to continue being GREAT, respectful, and honest!

The 2021 - 2022 school year marked the return to inperson learning for all students. No one could have predicted how much we would be a ected by the pandemic. During the height of COVID, there were even moments where we couldn't imagine what it would be like to be "back to normal." Thankfully, this year has provided us with the opportunity to experience the great things about school that we had missed out on for 16 months.

We got back to playing sports, celebrating at dances and pep rallies, engaging in afterschool activities and enjoying being together without a mask mandate. In the classroom, teaching and learning began to resemble the collaborative and interactive activities that we remembered from pre-pandemic schooling. While we know we still have work to do to make up for missed time or lost learning, we do so with a new found resilience that has been acquired from having been through a tough time together.

I am extremely proud of our dedicated faculty and sta who worked tirelessly to maintain instructional continuity and safety in the face of great challenges. I am also delighted with the strength and spirit that our student body displayed throughout these di cult times. Most of all, I am happy that our school has grown stronger despite the adversity that was endured.

Someday, we will look back fondly at this yearbook and remember the school year when we overcame misfortune and set ourselves back on the path towards academic and personal success.

The 2021 - 2022 school year has been the year of the comeback! After almost two years of interrupted learning, we were nally able to return to school in person and came back stronger than ever. Our school continued to grow and ourish as we welcomed new learners, and included 11th grade to our educational program. As a team, we reached incredible milestones and accomplished so much. We went through the reaccreditation process, became a STEM certi ed school through Cognia, took high schoolers on a Florida College Tour, had our rst Junior Class Ring Ceremony, proctored the SAT and ACT to our Upperclassmen, and were approved to become an AP Capstone Diploma School beginning next school year.

Aviators reached new heights earning numerous acknowledgements for their academic excellence, sports performance, musical talents, artistic work, and engineering skills. All of this has been made possible with the support of our wonderful Aviator family.

Students, teachers, faculty, and sta have shown resilience, dedication, and a willingness to succeed.

Thank you all for making the 2021 - 2022 school year so great! Without each and everyone of you, our gains would not be as meaningful. I appreciate you and can’t wait to see you next school year.

What an exciting year of growth it has been at AIE! Our Aviator family got bigger, and more classes and activities were added. The bas etball court was built, and the school was accredited as well as STEM certi ed. There were several rsts this year as well. We too our rst college tour, competed in certain sports for the rst time, and held our rst ring ceremony for the rising Senior class. None of this would have been possible without the commitment of the entire Aviator family, including the leadership team, sta , students, parents, community members, and especially the teachers. We have accomplished so much this year given the challenges we overcame in the previous year It’s fair to say we returned stronger than ever, and I am proud to have been a part of it all.

We have provided our students with a safe, diverse, fun, and engaging learning environment, and I am beyond honored to have been a part of it all.
