ABC’s OF ANNUAL GIVING
What is Annual Giving?
Annual Giving is the total support received in a fiscal year from the Annual Fund for Holy Child, the Benefit (and other fundraisers like the Library Luncheon and Boutique), and Capital Campaign fundraising efforts. Members of the Holy Child community are encouraged to support all components of the School’s Annual Giving efforts.

Unrestricted Gifts
Unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund support virtually every aspect of school life. Most specifically, merit scholarships and financial aid, academic and extracurricular programs, campus enhancements and maintenance, and faculty benefits and compensation.
Restricted Gifts
Restricted Annual Fund gifts support specific needs within a fiscal year and can only be designated by the donor. Some examples include, Smartboards, microscopes, tickets to Broadway shows, team uniforms, Steelcase classroom furniture, and 3-D printers.
BENEFIT AND OTHER FUNDRAISING EVENTS (like the annual Library Luncheon and Boutique)
The annual Benefit is Holy Child’s main fundraising event. Support of the Benefit is integral to supporting unrestricted operating expenses of the School. In recent years, there has been a DONATE NOW component of the event which supports a specific need or initiative that would immediately impact the School and our students. Support of the Benefit in addition to the Annual Fund is encouraged.

Apital Campaign Fundraising Efforts
Above and beyond Holy Child’s need for annual operating support is its need to plan and provide for the School’s long-term financial health. The operating budget does not address the need to establish and grow an endowment and expand and develop the campus. A donor’s support and commitment to Holy Child’s capital campaign fundraising efforts will enable the School to address those needs. Donors are encouraged to make their gift decisions with the intention of maintaining their support of both the Annual Fund and the Benefit.
