Inside This Issue Welcome from Head of School Student Activities Internationalisation Doctoral Programme New Staff Appointments

The Hon Mr. Justice Frank Clarke, Chief Justice, introducing the first morning sitting at NUI Galway

Legal history was made when the highest court in Ireland, the Supreme Court, sat in the Aula Maxima, NUI Galway in March 2019. This was the first time that the Supreme Court sat outside of a courthouse since it returned to the Four Courts in 1932, the first time it sat in Galway and only the third time the court sat outside of Dublin.
