All 4 Asian species of pangolins are critically endangered: Philippine, Chinese, Sunda, and Indian.
Tens of thousands of pangolins are trafficked every year. 667 pangolins were seized in 39 wildlife trafficking busts from 2001 to 2017.
It was estimated that between 1980 and 2018 there was a population decline of 95% on the North and 85% on the South side of Palawan Island. CRICKETS

PANGOLIN DEFENSE
When threatened pangolins roll up in a ball to use their scales as a shield, which makes it easy for poachers to catch them in the wild.

CRITICALLY ENDANGERED SPECIES ASSOCIATION
28.2 tons of pangolin scales were seized by Singapore between two shipment busts in April 2019. The 28.2 tons of scales were estimated to come from over 72,000 pangolins.
26,000 SEIZED IMPORTS
We need to ensure the U.S. market for pangolin products is zero by supporting the protection of pangolins under the Endangered Species Act.
