DANIELLE BERRY
(Stage Manager) Danielle works as SCERA’s Production Manager and Administrative Assistant, and has stage managed more shows than she can count. A favorite experience was stage managing three shows at the 2018 Edinburgh, Scotland Fringe Festival. Danielle has costume designed shows for SCERA and COPA Youth Theatre. “Thanks to the cast and production team who remind me why I love this crazy world of theater, and the biggest thank you to my friends and family for supporting me in what I love to do.”

REBECCA BOBERG
(Choreographer) Rebecca is thrilled to have been able to choreograph James and the Giant Peach! Recent credits include Crazy for You and Mary Poppins at the SCERA Shell, Big Fish at SCERA Center for the Arts, and Newsies at Lehi Arts Center. She currently serves as the Dance Education Director and Volunteer Coordinator at SCERA. Rebecca is grateful for the support of her husband, Mitchell, and their son, Banks, as well as the talented cast and production team, especially Kelsey and Danielle. “Enjoy the show, and thank you for supporting the arts!”

DEBORAH BOWMAN
(Costume Designer) Debbie started singing and acting when she was four years old and has enjoyed the stage ever since. You've seen her as Mother Bailey in It’s A Wonderful Life: The Musical, Sister Amnesia in Nuncrackers, in Sister Act and singing in SCERA’s Night of Broadway concerts. Debbie feels blessed to have a high school hobby turn into her dream job these last 17 years working at
the SCERA Costume Shop. She has costume designed many shows, with some favorites being Fiddler on the Roof, Big Fish, Oklahoma, The Play That Goes Wrong,The SpongeBob Musical, Catch Me If You Can, The Drowsy Chaperone, Matilda The Musical, The Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid, Hairspray, The Scarlet Pimpernel and Newsies. But her favorite role to play is grandma to five beautiful grandbabies, mom to two great kids (and their spouses), and wife to her extremely supportive husband John!

CHASE ELISON
(Lighting Designer / Audio Engineer) Chase has been involved in theatre since he was 11 in SCERA’s Oliver. At age 15, he began working at the Lehi Arts Center, where he has run and designed countless productions in lighting and audio. Chase currently serves as SCERA’s Sound and Lighting Manager, and has designed lighting for many of SCERA’s Theatre for Young Audiences productions, most recently for A Year with Frog and Toad, A Christmas Story The Musical and The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley. “I dedicate my work to my grandparents Jerry & Barbara. They introduced me to theatre and music at a young age. My grandma taught me piano for many years, and I had the honor of working with my grandpa for several productions here at SCERA. Love and miss you guys, ‘Ya done good!’”

MADISON FONTANA
(Props Designer) Madison is thrilled to work with such amazing people as the props designer for James And The Giant Peach! As a graduate of SUU in Writing and Rhetoric, Madison has worked as a prop assistant at SCERA and PGPlayers. She has performed on stage in productions at SCERA, TAF, and Lehi Arts. She has also worked as a scenic painter at



















SCERA, PG Players, TAF, Regalo, and Lehi Arts. Some of her favorite productions include The Fantastiks (PG Players), Oklahoma! (SCERA), and Pirates of Penzance (TAF). “Thank you to you all for supporting my passions and loving art as much as I do!”

ADAM GOWERS
(Earthworm / Bobby-Cop / Bitsy Botana) Adam is thrilled to be back performing in another TYA here at SCERA after playing Toad in their 2024 spring production of A Year with Frog and Toad. Adam graduated from UVU in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and has fulfilled many roles in the world of theatre including lighting design, stage management, directing, and of course, acting. Other previous acting credits include an Ancestor in The Addams Family (TCT) and Leonato in Much Ado About Nothing (GSC). When not on stage, Adam also enjoys playing video games or a round of disc golf with their family. They would like to thank their partner, Michael, for all his support and all of you for coming to support local theatre.

SARINA HANSEN
(Ladybug / Mrs. Trotter / Reporter 2 / Passing Woman)
Sarina is thrilled to be back for her second TYA show at SCERA! She was most recently seen as Katrina Van Tassel in SCERA’s TYA production of Sleepy Hollow: A Musical Tale. Sarina has a bachelor's degree in sociology and currently works at a youth crisis shelter. She also works as a stage manager for Timpanogos Youth Theater and enjoys participating in theatre both on and off stage. Sarina would like to thank her amazing family and friends for their love and support as well as the production team for the opportunity to be a part of such a beautiful show which reminds us all that "when you feel alone, love is never far."

ZIPPY HELLEWELL
(Scene Shop Manager )
Zippy graduated from UVU with an AA in Theatre Arts. He has been doing theater since 5th grade when he was in his elementary school's production of Guys and Dolls Jr. and has loved it ever since - he was recently in the ensemble of this past summer’s The Little Mermaid. Zippy started off acting, but he also found his love for backstage along the way. He started working in technical theater in junior high and high school, as well as some classes at UVU. He’s spent the past few years at SCERA working on sets and backstage, and designed the set for The Play That Goes Wrong, Cinderella: The Tale of the Glass Slipper and A Christmas Story: The Musical

JARED LOFGRAN
(Centipede / Buzz / Matron Nurse / Passing Man) Jared is from a small town in Idaho. He loves playing sports, traveling and singing/playing guitar in his band “a few feet high”. He remodels houses for work. Jared loves acting and being in musicals as often as time permits.

BETHANY MATSON
(Spider / Reporter 1) Bethany is beyond excited to return to theatre after four years, and honored to be making her SCERA debut! Favorite credits include Elsa in Frozen, Jr. with Meridian CUE Theater and Sponge in James and the Giant Peach at Centennial High School. She was also the Assistant Stage Manager for [title of show] with Utah State University's Theatre Program. When she's not at the theater, Bethany can be found writing, playing TTRPGs, or crocheting (just like Spider!) She'd like to thank the creative team for this wonderful opportunity and her family and friends for always supporting her.

BONNIE MAY
(Ladahlord) Bonnie feels fantasmarific to be on stage “right before your eyes” in her second show with SCERA’s Theatre for Young Audiences. Her first was How I Became A Pirate. She previously appeared in The Nutcracker (CVCB), Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Elf with Four Seasons Theater Company in Logan Utah, and is grateful to spread the joy of live theater once again! Bonnie works as a Music Project Coordinator, assisting with the new hymn book for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and enjoys bringing laughter wherever she goes. Enjoy the show!

CHASE RAMSEY
(Scenic Designer) Chase was recently seen in movie theaters for Horizon: Part 1 from Warner Brothers. Also Falling for Christmas (Netflix), Sweet Pecan Summer (Hallmark), The Storied Life of AJ Fikry (Amazon), Yellowstone (Paramount), and The Book of Mormon Musical on Broadway playing Elder Cunningham. Director of the new film Scratchy, Cage, and Tumbleweed as well as Forget the Rest. Also known for his work as a past Food Network host and director/ writer for the Walt Disney Company. He is the co-founder of King Cup Productions. Recent directing credits with SCERA have been Bright Star, The Little Mermaid, Into the Woods, Oklahoma, and The Play that Goes Wrong. BRODEE RIPPLE
(Grasshopper / Mr. Trotter / Madame Guild President) Brodee is beyond excited to be back at SCERA with some of his favorite people. Brodee has performed at SCERA, Brigham Young University, Utah Valley University, Hale Center Theater Orem, Hale Centre Theatre Sandy, Sundance Summer Theater, and The Historic Jackson Hole Playhouse. Some of his favorite roles include Dean Hyde in All Shook Up, Steven Kodaly in She Loves Me, and Judah in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat He currently works at SCERA as Assistant Director and Choreographer for their national award winning high school company, Acting Up, and is the Rentals & Special Events Coordinator. Brodee sends a huge thank you to Kelsey, Rebecca, Danielle, Laurel, Syd, his AU family, his shop family, his actual family, and particularly his Mom. “This one's for you Pops.”

EMMA ROLLINS
(Spiker) Emma is so happy to be back doing another SCERA TYA show, and even more so to be working with this iconic directing team and fabulous cast. Spiker has been a blast for Emma to have fun and go over the top with - villains have always been her favorite to play. She hopes that the show will bring audiences as many laughs and as much joy as it has brought her to perform. Favorite previous roles include Sister Amnesia in Nuncrackers, Katherine in Newsies, and an Evil Stepsister in Cinderella

GIDEON STONE
(James) Gideon is so excited to be playing James in his debut performance at SCERA! Gideon loves performing and has had a blast as part of the cast of

The Fun Squad YouTube channel since 2022. He has performed in MDT and Pop companies at Utah COPA (Conservatory of the Performing Arts) since he was four. After many years of homeschooling, this is Gideon’s first year at Highland Elementary, where he is in the 6th grade. (Shout out to Mrs. Brookhart for working with him rehearsing and performing during the school day!) Gideon has 12 siblings...but only one dog. He loves Legos and is a huge Harry Potter fan.

KELSEY MARINER THOMPSON
(Director / Music Director)
Kelsey holds a bachelor of music in vocal performance from UVU and has performed throughout the United States, as well as in the UK and Spain. Favorite directing/ music directing credits include: Mary Poppins, The SpongeBob Musical (SCERA Shell); The Addams Family (SCERA, CYT Houston); A Year with Frog and Toad TYA (SCERA). Performing credits include: Alice Murphy in Bright Star (SCERA), Tammy in May We All (HCT), Marguerite

St. Just in The Scarlet Pimpernel, Fantine in Les Miserables, Anita in West Side Story, Eliza Doolittle u/s in My Fair Lady (SCERA), Belle in A Christmas Carol (HCTO), Grandma in The Addams Family (Lehi Arts), and Reverend Mother in Nuncrackers (PG Players). All my love to my husband, Jake, and two beautiful children, Kody and Jack.”

COURTNEY VARNEY
(Sponge) Courtney is so excited to be in her first SCERA production! Courtney has been doing theater since she was seven years old and loves being on stage and performing. Some of her favorite roles are Ms. Andrew in Mary Poppins Jr., Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Isabel in Pirates of Penzance. Courtney also loves working as tech for shows and has helped with Little Women, Nuncrackers, and The Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged She wants to thank her parents, Randy and Emily, and her sister Becca for alway being supportive and encouraging.
