DANIELLE BERRY

(Production Stage Manager) Danielle works as SCERA’s Production Manager and Administrative Assistant, and has stage managed more shows than she can count. A favorite experience was stage managing three shows at the 2018 Edinburgh, Scotland Fringe Festival. Danielle has costume designed shows for SCERA and COPA Youth Theatre. “Thanks to the cast and production team who remind me why I love this crazy world of theater, and the biggest thank you to my friends and family for supporting me in what I love to do.”

DREW CHRISTENSEN

(President Roosevelt / Ensemble) Drew is deeply grateful to be a part of Annie! He has been in several productions here at SCERA and has loved them all! He wants to thank all the amazing staff that make these shows possible. The designers, stitchers, builders, tech folks, stage crew, and the volunteers are the true heroes of SCERA!

Drew’s amazing family has been a support to him always. “Thanks Guys!”

CHASE ELISON

(Sound & Lighting Manager) Chase has been involved in theatre since he was 11 in SCERA’s Oliver. At age 15, he began working at the Lehi Arts Center, and he currently serves as SCERA’s Sound and Lighting Manager, where he has designed lighting for many of SCERA’s Theatre for Young Audiences productions. “I dedicate my work to my grandparents Jerry & Barbara. They introduced me to theatre and music at a young age. My grandma taught me piano for many years, and I had the honor of working with my grandpa for

several productions here at SCERA. Love and miss you guys, ‘Ya done good!’”

CHARISSE FINCH

(Mrs. Greer / Ensemble) Charisse is excited to be part of SCERA's production of Annie, and has loved working with this directing team and cast. She was most recently seen on stage as the Dowager Empress in Anastasia (Draper Historic Theater) and Aunt Eller in Oklahoma! (SCERA). Other favorite roles include Ms. Darbus in High School Musical, Cinderella's Stepmother in Into The Woods, and Marmee in Little Women Charisse works as an elementary school counselor (go RME Cougars!) and enjoys traveling with her family and doting on their miniature schnauzer. Thanks to Brenner for pulling his mom into the musical theater world with him several years ago and to Jon for supporting his wife’s dramatic antics.

SHANNON FOLLETTE

(Fred McCrackin / Harold Ickes / Ensemble ) Shannon is genuinely grateful and beyond thrilled to be back on stage at SCERA! Favorite SCERA credits include Scuttle in The Little Mermaid, Milky White/Florinda/ Granny in Into the Woods, Annie in The Play That Goes Wrong, Carol in Catch Me If You Can, Deb in Elf the Musical, Hannah in Newsies, Sister Mary Lazarus in Sister Act, and Belinda in Noises Off. She recently had the honor of assistant directing Next to Normal with the Hart Theater Company. She will always be grateful that she got her start in community theater with SCERA's high school company, Acting Up! By day, Shannon works in Human Resources so that she can provide a good life for her two cats. She would like to thank the creative team for this opportunity, her sweet partner and family and friends for laughing at her jokes and encouraging her to pursue her

passions, and each and every audience member for coming out to support the arts.

ELIZABETH OTTLEY GRIFFITHS

(Lighting Designer) Liz is a graduate of Brigham Young University in Theater Education. She has been a guest lighting instructor at a number of high schools, teaches and designs with the Lehi Arts Council and loves to design for SCERA. Some favorite designs include: The Little Mermaid, Big Fish, Shrek and Into the Woods. She has four wonderful children and an amazing husband who is so supportive of her theater habit!

ZIPPY HELLEWELL

(Scene Shop Manager)

Zippy graduated from UVU with an AA in Theatre Arts. He has been doing theater since 5th grade when he was in his elementary school's production of Guys and Dolls Jr. and has loved it ever since. Zippy started off acting, but he also found his love for backstage along the way. He started working in technical theater in junior high and high school, as well as some classes at UVU. He’s spent the past few years at SCERA working on sets and backstage, and designed the set for Disney’s Newsies that played on this stage last month, as well as The Play That Goes Wrong, Cinderella: The Tale of the Glass Slipper and A Christmas Story: The Musical

ISABELLA HENKEL

(Cecile / Ensemble) Isabella is thrilled to return to the SCERA stage after serving a full-time mission. She grew up performing at SCERA and is overjoyed to be back as an adult. Isabella recently completed her first year studying Journalism and Communication with a minor in Fashion Studies at Utah State University. Some of her favorite past roles include High School Musical (SCERA), Matilda and Into the Woods as Little Red Riding Hood (Orem High), Just So (SCERA’s Acting Up), and Wendy in Peter Pan. Isabella is grateful to her family and

friends for their constant support in helping her pursue her dreams.

LAUREN HODGES

(Lily St. Regis / Connie / Ensemble) Lauren is so excited to be performing at SCERA for the first time! She’s currently in the Music Dance Theatre program at BYU, and loves nothing more than being onstage. Her most recent roles include The Witch in Into the Woods (MVRT), Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera (Ovation), Katherine Plumber in Newsies (JuMP Company) and Éponine in Les Misérables (Ovation). She’s so grateful for the endless support of her family, friends, and loved ones!

JASON HUNTER

(Judge Brandeis / Cabinet Member / Ensemble) A native of Orem and 1991 graduate of Orem High School, Jason is thrilled to bring all his energy into his first show on the SCERA stage. In fact, he is a lifelong theater viewer and first time character actor. He is thrilled to be performing his dream role of Judge Brandeis in the classic musical Annie. Some of his life roles have been tiger mascot, doting father, wrestling coach, chef, and long time middle school English and history teacher. He is excited to share the stage with his wife and daughter. A huge thank you to Chase for believing in him and giving him this opportunity.

KRISTY HUNTER

(Mrs. Pugh / Dog Catcher / Ensemble) Kristy is thrilled to return to the SCERA stage with her husband and daughter after a 9-year hiatus. Her last performance here was South Pacific in 2015! She caught the theater bug at just six years old when she performed in her very first play and has been in love with musical theater ever since. Kristy is a passionate songwriter, vocal coach, and musical director. For the past 8 years, she’s had the joy of music directing junior productions for Center Stage Youth Performers and Lakeview Academy Elementary, working with over 200

young performers each year. She adores helping students discover and love their voices. Some of her favorite past roles include Anne in Anne of Green Gables and Belle in A Christmas Carol—both at HCTO. She’s beyond grateful to be part of this production!

DOUG KAUFMAN

(Rooster Hannigan) Doug is so excited to be in his first production with SCERA, and he is honored to share the stage with such a talented cast and crew. Most recently, he played Joe Pesci in Jersey Boys (The Ruth). Other credits include Officer O’Hara in Arsenic and Old Lace, Froggy in The Foreigner, and Fezzywig in A Christmas Carol—all at Hale Center Theater Orem. Offstage, Doug is a filmmaker who loves storytelling in all forms. He is incredibly grateful for all the support from his amazing wife and 5 kids, and of course, Belle, his dog.

ANDY KELSON

(Drake / Ensemble / Perkins) Andy is super excited to be part of this production, especially rewarding is the opportunity to do this show with his youngest daughter, Liz. This is Andy’s 13th show since 2008. He would like to express thanks to Chase, Kathryn, Janessa, Danielle and the wonderful costume and lighting designers of this show. Most especially, thanks to his wife, Lynne, for her endless support. His favorite roles at SCERA include Grandpa Joe in Wonka, Jacob and Potiphar in Joseph...Dreamcoat and especially Andrew Carnes in Oklahoma. Many ensemble roles have also been his favorite, especially the 2014 production of Les Miserables. He loves Annie because this show reminds us that one person really does change the world and that the sun will come out tomorrow.

ELIZABETH KELSON

(Ensemble / Boylan Sister / Annette) Liz is so excited to be a part of this production of Annie! Liz loves the SCERA Shell, and always has. She is glad to say she gets to do this show (among other past SCERA shows) with her dad, Andy. She’s loved musical theatre from a very young age and has filled her time with it ever since. She’d like to express thanks for her parents who’ve supported her endlessly, and for Chase, Janessa, Kathryn and Danielle for giving her a great experience through their directing.

KATHRYN LAYCOCK

LITTLE (Music Director / Associate Director) In her role as actress, Kathryn has performed professionally in leading roles Off-Broadway as a charter member of the Manhattan Theater Ensemble, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, both the Capitol Theater and the Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City, Robert Redford’s Sundance Theater (back when Robert actually signed the checks!), both Hale Center Theaters, and at SCERA. She has been a guest artist with the Tabernacle Choir, Utah Valley Symphony, Utah Valley Chorale, BYU’s Synthesis and Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as many other professional concert performances. You may have heard or seen her as the narrator and soloist for numerous television and radio commercials, films, recorded books (over 60 books for Covenant Communications), and musical recordings. Kathryn has directed and musically directed many shows throughout Utah Valley and the Salt Lake City area. For the past 31 years, she and her husband Howard have been the Resident Artistic Directors for the PG Players in Pleasant Grove. She was the director for the 200 member choir event Christmas in the Grove for 25 years, and has been a professional voice teacher

She gives full credit and thanks to her wonderful family, both in heaven and here on earth, as well as incredible friends and colleagues for their love, patience and support. DANIEL MANIVANH

(Hull / Apple Seller / Ensemble) Daniel is happy to be back on the Shell stage. When he is not performing in a show, he enjoys playing basketball, volleyball, and soccer. Also, he teaches hip hop at the SCERA Center for the Arts (come join the class, it is a lot of fun) and performs as part of Legacies. Recent credits include Crazy For You (SCERA) and Newsies (Draper Historic Theater).

KAREN MILNE

(Grace Farrell) Karen is excited to be back on the SCERA Shell stage! Karen’s favorite credits include:

Eleanor Widener–Titanic: The Musical, The Light in the Piazza, Poor Wife/Fred’s Wife–A Christmas Carol at HCT Sandy; Octet Soprano–A Christmas Carol at HCTO; Mrs. Darling–Peter Pan at SCERA; Cinderella–Into the Woods at Draper Historic Theater. Karen was a member of the BYU Singers for three years. She graduated from BYU with a degree in Vocal Performance. “All my love and gratitude to Zack, my three beautiful daughters, and my parents for your endless support. Let's do it for Glen, everybody!"

MELODY OTTERSTROM

(Star-to-be / Ensemble / Sound Effects Woman)

Melody is ecstatic to be making her SCERA debut! Some of her favorite past roles include Betty Haynes in White Christmas, Leanne in Puffs, Patrick Star in The SpongeBob

Musical, Malcolm in Macbeth, and Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast (Brighton High School). Within the past year she has enjoyed singing with the UVU Emerald Singers and the Utah Valley Institute Singers. She looks forward to serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the fall!

KAREN

PECK (Props Designer / Prop Shop Manager) Karen joined the SCERA Family last fall as the new Prop Shop Manager. She jumped right into the deep end with A Christmas Story: The Musical, and it’s been a whirlwind every day since! Karen has an extensive design background, from interior architecture and design to event and theatrical design. Originally from Idaho, she has made Orem her home and is excited to bring her experience and talent to SCERA’s live theatre and special events. She says “It’s truly a joy to come to work with such kind and talented people, and it really comes out in the productions that happen here. There’s something magical about SCERA, and I’m so grateful to be part of it.”

CHASE RAMSEY

(Director / Scenic Designer) Chase was recently seen in movie theaters for Horizon: Part 1 from Warner Brothers. Also Falling for Christmas (Netflix), Sweet Pecan Summer (Hallmark), The Storied Life of AJ Fikry (Amazon), Yellowstone (Paramount), and The Book of Mormon Musical on Broadway playing Elder Cunningham. Director of the new film Scratchy, Cage, and Tumbleweed as well as Forget the Rest. Also known for his work as a past Food Network host and director/writer for the Walt Disney Company. He is the co-founder of King Cup Productions. Recent directing credits with SCERA have been Bright Star, The Little Mermaid, Into the Woods, Oklahoma, and The Play that Goes Wrong Instagram: @chaseramseyartist

JANESSA RAMSEY

(Choreographer) Janessa has been choreographing shows at SCERA for 4 years and has enjoyed every minute of it. Some of her favorite productions she's worked on are Bright Star, The Little Mermaid, Oklahoma!, Spongebob The Musical, Tarzan, Into the Woods, and The Play that Goes Wrong, all here at SCERA. Thanks to Chase for being an artistic genius, as well as being a dream to collaborate with on stage and in life. Thanks to Danielle for being the best stage manager around. Thanks to Kathryn for stepping up and taking over. And a giant thank you to Mom, Dad, Jude, Beckett, and Finn for their support and love through this whole process.

NATHANAEL SACKETT

(Bundles / Louis Howe / Ensemble) Nathanael is thrilled to return to the stage after a 17 year hiatus—and even more excited to share it with his daughter in their first production with SCERA! Past roles include Pilate in I Am Alive, Willy Wonka, Aladdin, and Horace in Hello, Dolly! A truck driver and crane operator by day, he’s grateful to finally make time for theater again and create lasting memories with his family.

ERIK SCHAUMANN

(Bert Healy / Lt. Ward / Morganthau / Ensemble )

I love performing in shows at SCERA! This is my 4th show here, and my daughters and I have a long history with Annie. My favorite past role was Harold Hill in The Music Man, which was quite a long time ago. I also love being part of directing teams for community theatre shows, and I love singing in choirs. It was great fun to get to know all the orphans and all my fellow servants in this

show, as well as the very talented leads. I give thanks to my beneficent wife, my number one supporter. “This is your old softie, Bert Healy . . . . I almost forgot, Goodnight!”

KELSEY SEAVER

(Costume Designer) Kelsey has been involved with SCERA for the past 18 years in costumes and is currently the Costume Shop Manager. Some of her most recent SCERA designs are The Wizard of Oz, The Cat in the Hat, Bright Star and The Little Mermaid. She is so thankful for her family’s support. Much love to her three kiddos and awesome husband.

ADALINE STRONG

(Annie) Adaline is thrilled to be part of this production of Annie! Some of her favorite roles include Belinda Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (HCTO), Baker's Wife in Into the Woods Jr. (ACT), Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol Youth Edition (HCTO), and Children's Ensemble in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Do Good Theatre). Ada enjoys tap, ballet, singing with Rise Up Children's Choir, and above allspending time with her family and friends. Special thanks to the amazing production team and cast for giving her this incredible opportunity and making it SO much fun!

CHAD TAYLOR

BRANDI WASHBURN

(Miss Hannigan) Brandi is so grateful to have the opportunity to be part of this show. She was most recently seen in SCERA’s 2024 production of Bright Star (Spirit/Ensemble) and is thrilled to be back! She’d like to thank the cast for all the hard work they’ve put into telling this story, the incredible production team for trusting her with this role and her husband Tyler and their three children for their support and unending love. She’d also like to let you know that by reading this you have entered into a solemn and binding pact to treat the children within your sphere of influence with kindness and respect.

ISABELLA WILLIAMSON

(Jimmy Johnson / Ensemble) Isabella is so excited to be back at the SCERA Shell for the second year in a row! She loves filling her life with theatre as often as she can. She is currently in the process of receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Musical Theatre at Utah Valley University. Some of her recent projects include Ellen in What About Luv? (UVU Theatre Arts Guild), Brindee in The Whole Story (Utah Valley University), Ensemble in The Little Mermaid (SCERA Shell), and Sandra in Big Fish (Timpview High School)!

PAIGE WOOD

(Boylan Sister / Sophie / Ensemble) Paige is excited to be sharing her passion for the arts in this production of Annie! She has been performing for over ten years and takes any opportunity she can to be on stage. Some of her favorite roles include Madame in Cinderella (Skyridge High School) and Mrs. Schwartz in A Christmas Story: The Musical (SCERA). When Paige isn’t on stage, she enjoys pottery, dance, printmaking, and singing. She is thankful for the outstanding support from her loved ones.
