KAT BALANZATEGUI

(Flopsy | Nutkin | Mice 1 | Simpkin | Johnny TownMouse) Kat holds a BFA in Acting from Utah Valley University where she first grew her love for TYA and is elated to be making her SCERA debut with A Peter Rabbit Tale! Recent credits include: Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet (UVU), Lucinda in Into the Woods (Creekside Theatre Fest), The Wooglefoof in The Prince’s New Pet (Utah Story Center), and Dr. Lydia Lyall Sterling in Gin Mummy (UVU). Off-stage, you can find her practicing yoga, reading, or dominating in Mario Kart. “A special thanks to those who have volunteered their time and expertise to make this production possible! Thank you for supporting the arts; enjoy the show!”

DANIELLE BERRY

(Stage Manager)

Danielle works as SCERA’s Production Manager and Administrative Assistant, and has stage managed more shows than she can count. A favorite experience was stage managing three shows at the 2018 Edinburgh, Scotland Fringe Festival. “Thanks to the cast and production team who remind me why I love this crazy world of theater, and the biggest thank you to my friends and family for supporting me in what I love to do.”

CAMRYN BLAIR (Peter Rabbit)

SCERA is Camryn’s favorite place to do shows! She was last seen in The SpongeBob Musical (Old Man Jenkins), Catch Me If You Can (Ensemble), and Rapunzel: A Very Hairy Fairy Tale (Gypsy Woman). She

is excited to be back in another Theatre for Young Audiences show! Camryn works as a nanny and adores children. She is so grateful to be a part of this show and combine her love of performing with her love for kids!

CHASE ELISON

(Lighting Designer | Audio Engineer | Master Electrician) Chase has been involved in theatre since he was 11 in SCERA’s Oliver. At age 15, he began working at the Lehi Arts Center, and he currently serves as SCERA’s Sound and Lighting Manager, where he has designed lighting for many of SCERA’s Theatre for Young Audiences productions. “I dedicate my work to my grandparents Jerry & Barbara. They introduced me to theatre and music at a young age. My grandma taught me piano for many years, and I had the honor of working with my grandpa for several productions here at SCERA. Love and miss you guys, ‘Ya done good!’”

ETHAN HARRISON

(Scenic Designer) ) Ethan has been building sets and working backstage at SCERA since 2022, and has proudly worked on every single show since, including set designing

The True Story of The 3 Little Pigs at SCERA. He has always been inspired by the creativity of SCERA's sets, especially on the outdoor stage so is excited to be building them himself. His love for set construction has been strengthened by his family who have all built many sets alongside him. He is grateful for his Pops and Mrs. Wygant for teaching him the craft as well as his SCERA tech family for their support and camaraderie! "The real credit goes to my amazing staff! You guys all rock!"

CARLEY PORTER LINDSAY

(Mother | Benjamin | Twinkleberry | Thomasina | Mrs. TiggyWinkle) Carley is thrilled to be a part of another SCERA TYA show this year! Previously she played The Fish in SCERA's production of The Cat in the Hat in 2025, and last year she also performed in the ensemble of the Timpanogos Arts production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. When she's not performing, Carley works as a writer and teaches dance at the Covey Center in Provo and Studio V in Sandy. Carley wants to thank her husband for supporting her through crazy rehearsal schedules, her friends and family who come to see the show, her wonderful cast mates, and the incredible crew and team at SCERA that make this production possible.

KELSEY SEAVER

(Costume Designer)

Kelsey has been involved with SCERA for the past 18 years in costumes and is currently the Costume Shop Manager. Some of her most recent SCERA designs are The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Annie, The Wizard of Oz, The Cat in the Hat, Bright Star and The Little Mermaid. She is so thankful for her family’s support. Much love to her three kiddos and awesome husband.

KELSEY MARINER THOMPSON

(Director | Music Director) Kelsey holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from UVU and has performed throughout the United States, as well as in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and stages in southern Spain. Favorite directing credits include: Mary Poppins (SCERA Shell); The Wizard of Oz, James and the Giant Peach TYA, and A Year with Frog and Toad TYA (SCERA). Performing credits include: Alice Murphy in

Bright Star (SCERA), Tammy in May We All (HCT), Marguerite St. Just in The Scarlet Pimpernel, Fantine in Les Miserables, Anita in West Side Story, Eliza Doolittle u/s in My Fair Lady (SCERA), Belle in A Christmas Carol (HCTO), Grandma in The Addams Family (Lehi Arts), and Reverend Mother in Nuncrackers (PG Players). Kelsey would like to dedicate this show to her favorite person and husband, Jacob, and her children, Kody, Jack, and new baby boy Rook.

OPAL TOLMAN

(Props Designer) Opal is so excited to be returning as part of the SCERA Family! After having worked both behind the scenes and on stage in many of SCERA’s previous productions, Opal stepped into the role of props/scenic designer for several local theater companies, and truly fell in love with the artistry and storytelling of the design process. “SCERA has given me so much over the years, and I feel overwhelmingly grateful for the chance to give back in this new role. I'm excited to keep learning, support the amazing artists here, and to help bring our magical productions to life." Previous behind the scenes works include: The Hunchback of Notre Dame (SCERA), The Crucible (Props/ Scenic Designer), Twelfth Night (Props/Scenic/ Costume Designer), Julius Caesar (Props/ Scenic Designer). On stage: Freaky Friday (Torrey), Cinderella (Cinderella), Annie (Lily), The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Becky).

TRIXY TSAI

(Mopsy | Mr. McGregor | Owl | Mice 2 | Tailor | Jeremy Fisher) Trixy is delighted to be making her SCERA debut! She holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Utah Valley University. Previous credits include: Amy in Gin Mummy (An Other Theatre Company), Raven in The Apple Tree & The Raven (UVU), and Princess in The Little Mermaid (Murray Arts Council). She is an avid Disney fan and loved her time at both Disney World Florida and Disneyland California as a character performer, where she

spent a lot of time with Mickey, Minnie, Stitch, Piglet, and other favorites! Off stage, you can find her traveling, crafting, or playing Animal Crossing while belting showtunes. REBECCA VARNEY

(Choreographer) Becca’s most recent performances include Minnie Fay in Hello, Dolly, Luisa in The Fantasticks and Brenda Strong in Catch Me If You Can. With over 20 years of performing experience, Rebecca also loves

the creative process of choreographing musicals. Some notable choreography credits include A Christmas Story: The Musical at SCERA Center and Crazy for You at SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre. In addition to her creative pursuits, Rebecca serves as the Dance Education Director and Volunteer Coordinator at SCERA, where she shares her love of the arts with others. She is grateful for the support of her friends and family and her son, Banks, as well as the talented cast and production team.
