Mike Cusack Discovery Team Leader Award-winning expedition guide Mike Cusack will join the Scenic Discovery Team for the first time on the inaugural Kimberley season in 2024.

Mike rose to fame in 1987 when he and his wife were chosen as Australian Geographic’s “Wilderness Couple”, spending a year living in complete isolation in Kunmunya in remote North West Western Australia. Over the following 35 years, Mike has guided and enlightened thousands of guests in the Kimberley, captivating them with his deep connection to this extraordinary place.

Stephen Martin Historian A historian, writer, researcher and expedition tour guide with over 20 years of experience, Stephen brings a wealth of knowledge to Scenic Eclipse II. Acting as a guide, interpreter and educator on board, he is eager to create unforgettable experiences for each guest. Stephen has a particular passion for the Kimberley and its unique place in the world’s oldest continuous culture. On each Discovery Voyage, he will inspire guests to appreciate the region’s rich human story and captivating natural history.

Alice Forrest Marine Biologist Living off-grid in a tiny house near Byron Bay, Alice is deeply committed to sustainability and the power of positive change. Alice holds a Bachelor of Biodiversity & Conservation and a Bachelor of Marine & Antarctic Science (with Honors). In her free time, Alice enjoys freediving with whales, adventuring outdoors and campaigning for ocean protection. As a naturalist on board Scenic Eclipse II, Alice will inspire guests with both the science and the intrinsic magic of the ocean and what lies beneath the surface.
