Day 01

Frankfurt > Mainz

Welcome to Germany. Upon arrival in Frankfurt you will be transferred to Mainz, where you will embark your Scenic Space-Ship. Your journey into wonder begins here. Relax and raise your glass to the days ahead at this evening’s welcome reception.

Day 02 Koblenz f

Koblenz is a UNESCO-listed city sitting at the junction of where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet. The city has a fascinating past with over 2,000 years of history.

Freechoice: Join a walking tour of Koblenz and explore the charm and history of this impressive city including Deutsches Eck, or German Corner, the confluence of the Rhine & Moselle rivers and where the memorial to Kaiser

Alternatively, choose to see the city aboard one of our Scenic e-bikes and travel further afield around this mighty city, or you may wish to explore the magnificent castle of Burg Eltz. This medieval castle dates back over 850 years and has remained in the possession of the same family during this period.

Bernkastel fe

Freechoice: Take a walking tour through beautiful Bernkastel, with its perfectly preserved half-timbered houses located on the picturesque Moselle River. Alternatively, explore the slopes covered in green vineyards at a local winery. The Moselle Valley is considered one of the world’s premier locations for producing Riesling and today you have the opportunity to learn all about the wine produced in the region before tasting a delicious drop.

Tonight you are in for a special treat with a private classical concert in the UNESCO-listed Liebfrauenkirche located in the heart of the Roman city of Trier.

Day 04 Cochem f

A medieval gem resting on the banks of the Moselle River, Cochem will make you feel like you have stepped into a fairytale.

Freechoice: Explore Cochem during a guided tour and visit the iconic Reichsburg Castle, or if you’re feeling more active, join a bicycle tour and explore the beautiful region.

Day 05

Rüdesheim f

This morning visit the charming town of Rüdesheim, surrounded by lush green vineyards and lined with historic half-timbered buildings.

Freechoice: Board the Winzerexpress mini train and wind through the cobblestone streets of the town before a guided visit of Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum.

Marvel at the display of over 150 musical instruments from the 18th and 19th century before taking a cable car ride for magnificent views across the vineyards. Once at the top you will see the historic Neiderwald Monument. Alternatively, take a guided hike from Rüdesheim and enjoy breathtaking views across the Rhine River. Rüdesheim is a wine-growing town in the Rhine Gorge and this makes for some truly spectacular scenery.

Day 06 Rastatt f

Today you can choose from a diverse range of options, each truly unique yet equally fascinating.

Freechoice: Visit Baden Baden, the town is most famous for its casino and Roman baths, both of which you will learn about from your local guide. Alternatively, explore the charming city of Strasbourg. This active walking tour will showcase the highlights of the city including the magnificent Cathedral, or visit Schloss Favorite, originally built as a hunting lodge and summer house and now housing a large collection of Chinese porcelain.
