Day 01 Johannesburg > Pretoria > Blue Train

Welcome to Johannesburg. You’ll be transferred to Pretoria Train Station and enjoy pre-departure snacks and drinks before stepping on board the magnificent 5-star Blue Train, which offers the ultimate in luxury service. Each coach has a butler on call, serving a maximum of four suites, to attend to your every need.

Day 02 Blue Train

The journey between Pretoria and Cape Town takes you through some of the most diverse and breathtaking scenery. Once you’ve settled in, relax in the comfort of your suite or in the impressive lounge or observation cars at the rear of the train, and drink in the panoramic views of the passing countryside. You’ll partake in brunch and High Tea in the luxurious lounge car before taking a step back in time to the days of the diamond rush.

Hop onto an old tram for a ride down to the mine at the Open Mine Museum in Kimberley. Later, re-join the train for pre-dinner drinks and a sumptuous dinner, for which dressing up is still a tradition.

Day 03 Blue Train > Cape Town

Travel through the Cape wine region and Drakenstein Mountains before arriving in Cape Town this morning. You’ll be met and transferred to the Table Bay Hotel with the rest of the day at leisure. Meet your Scenic Tour Director and fellow travellers this evening for a welcome briefing on your full itinerary.
