The Red Sea & Middle East

The Red Sea is an inlet of the Indian Ocean, located between Africa and Asia. Its coastline is now a popular tourist attraction, as are its neighbours the UAE, Qatar and Oman, where rich cultural influences and archaeological monuments coexist with some of the most contemporary features of the modern world, as the countries of the Arabian Peninsula commit to preserving their heritage while evolving into world-class destinations.

Greece

Highlights:

Each cruise has been carefully designed to give you the freedom to explore at your own pace.

■ Hurghada: Stretching almost 25 miles along the Red Sea coast, Hurghada is a wonderful mix of old and new. Its stunning coral reefs have earned it the recognition as one of the best scuba diving spots in the world. Visit Hurghada's Old Town of El Dahar for its winding narrow streets and traditional bazaars, and Sakalla, for its more modern, bustling town centre.

■ Aqaba: Jordan’s only coastal city is the gateway to the Wadi Rum desert. Gaze in awe as the sun sets over the red sand dunes for an ethereal experience and taste tea amongst friendly locals at Palm Beach. Visit Mamluk Castle, the site of one of the First World War’s most famous battles, and explore the Sherif al-Hussein bin Ali Mosque, an architectural vision and place of worship.

■ Doha: On the east coast of the Persian Gulf, Doha is an ever-changing modern metropolis. A glistening skyline of contemporary high-rises adorn the picturesque corniche, frequented by walkers enjoying the lovely waterfront promenade, while world-class galleries exhibit an eclectic mix of art. Traditional souks buzz with life and restaurants serve a delightful fusion of cuisines, as this confident, forward-thinking city seeks to rival the dynamism of Dubai.

■ Dubai: This once humble fishing village is now a thriving metropolis, home to over 200 nationalities and some of the most spectacular modern architecture in the world. Old and new collide, offering something for everyone. From sprawling spice markets, historic neighbourhoods and abra rides across the creek, to theme parks, zip lining, art galleries and shopping malls, there’s nothing you can’t do here.
