我從六歲起就重複做著的一個夢， 夢中的父母丟下了我， 而我只是在原地希望他們回來， 牽起我的手走回家。

<Overflow> 轉眼就到了創基最後一個專題，一邊回想這段時間， 一邊思考要以什麼樣的動畫去做一個結尾。 於是以我對於「創作」這件事情的所產生的心情與想法為藍本製作了這 個作品。 當我看著自己的作品時，腦中總是充滿著懷疑、否定， 所以想要逃離這些東西。

How can we get out of

Sleep Paralysis?

Solution

Problem Sleep paralysis is a feeling of being conscious but unable to move. It occurs when a person passes between stages of wakefulness and sleep.

Small-sized brainwave monitor that detects brainwaves and emotions while the user is sleeping, in order to know if one’s undergoing a sleep paralysis.

Beta 14-30 Hz (awake) Theta 4-8 Hz (REM)

While undergoing a sleep paralysis, people may have hallucinations to feel, hear or see things that are not there, usually leads to fear and panic. Few of the people can themslightly move their fingers, toes or other facial muscles, which eventually wake them selves up. Yet the majority of people have to wait until the episode’s over. Up to as many as four out of every ten people may had experienced sleep paralysis.

Wristband connected to the monitor, when the monitor counted the user’s in sleep paralysis, the wristband will send low-frequency electricity to stimulate one’s finger muscles to wake the user up.

Our body alternates REM(rapid eye movement) and NERM(non-rapid eye removement) sleep while sleeping. During NREM sleep, your body rests and re stores itself. When it switches to REM sleep, your eyes will move quickly and dreams occur. Yet the muscles of your body remains relaxed .

Sleep paralysis happens in two conditions, one is when your body’s about to fall asleep yet your consciousness is still awake, or the consciousness is awake, while the body remains sleeping.

The user would wake up immidiately and get out of sleep paralysis.

In order to get away from the situation of sleep paralysis, most of the people might be struggling waking themselves up by moving small muscles such as fingers, toes or eyes.
