WHEREAS, the Sheriff of Mecklenburg County has in his custody a large quantity of firearms and other miscellaneous weapons seized and/or from defendants in domestic violence cases, which firearms and other miscellaneous weapons are of various description (semiautomatic pistols, revolvers, shotguns, etc.) seized pursuant to NCGS 50B court orders during a time period from May 2019 to October 2020; and
WHEREAS, presently one hundred seventy (170) firearms or other miscellaneous weapons remain unclaimed;
THE SHERIFF HEREBY
publishes this final Notice requiring all persons who may have or claim to have any interest in the subject firearms and other miscellaneous weapons to state the basis of their claim by contacting the Sheriff’s Office at (980) 3145808.
