ast October, Greenville County Council’s finance committee gave a thumbs down to fee-in-lieu tax incentives for a proposed $42 million planned community in Greer because of the development’s residential nature. “FILOTs are used for manufacturing and industrial, not for housing,” Council Chair-

“There’s no question that there are staffing shortages in the airline industry today and that’s creating a problem,” Edwards said. “What compounds that issue is, if you have a mechanical problem on an airplane … the ability to reaccommodate those people on another flight is very, very difficult.
