Premium Peanut, an innovative, grower-owned peanut shelling company, announced plans to establish operations in Orangeburg County, South Carolina as one of the largest ag-related projects in the state. Premium Peanut’s new facility will provide more capacity and allow South Carolina peanut growers the opportunity to be a part of a cooperative model. This facility will build on the company’s existing model, creating maximum value of every peanut for its grower-owners. Premium Peanut’s customers consist of the major snack, candy, and peanut butter manufacturers domestically, as well as customers in more than 30 countries around the world.

RECENT ANNOUNCEMENTS Pratrivero USA

$17.6 million investment 34 new jobs Headquartered in Italy and family-owned and operated for 14 generations, Pratrivero USA is a global leading producer of nonwoven fabric using stitchbond technology. With deep roots in almost four centuries of textile tradition, Pratrivero’s fabrics are used in a variety of sectors including furnishings, advertising banners, footwear, packaging and the automotive industry. The Orangeburg County manufacturing and distribution facility produces stitchbond, a nonwoven fabric produced by mechanical bonding of fiber layers with continuous filaments.

BRN Sleep Products

$4.3 Million investment 300 new Jobs Founded in Turkey in 2006, BRN Sleep Products specializes in the manufacturing and assembly of mattresses and bases as well as marketing, distribution and sale of bed products. The company’s brands include BRN, BRN Kids, Seven, Royal Coil, Sleep Plus, Bern Sleep Products and Kiez Mattress.

INDEVCO

$22 million investment 50 new jobs Founded in 1982, INDEVCO North America, Inc. produces innovative and high-performance protective products such as coated and laminated paper, plastic films and packaging. The company’s manufacturing plants are market leaders in a range of product lines and serve a growing list of industries, including construction, beverage, chemical, food and others.

Zeus Industrial Products

Investing over $20 million in new advanced Frank P. Tourville Center of Excellence Headquartered in Orangeburg, SC, Zeus Industrial Products, develops and manufactures polymer tubing for a variety of industries, including the medical, fluid handling and electrical markets. Zeus works with customers in col-

laborative relationships to design, engineer and produce fluoropolymer and specialized plastic tubing that delivers the temperature resistance, chemical resistance and high tensile strength demanded by today’s applications.

The Okonite Company

$4.4 million investment 19 new jobs Headquartered in Ramsey, NJ, Okonite is America’s oldest independent wire and cable manufacturer, with a history of more than 133 years of service to the electric industry. In 1976, Okonite became the largest company in the U.S to be owned by its employees which gives the employees a vested interest in providing the highest quality products and customer service. Okonite located in Orangeburg, SC in 1993 and continues to expand in Orangeburg County.

Allied Air Enterprises Inc.

$35.7 million investment 20 new jobs Allied Air is a component of Lennox International, Inc., a global leader in the heating, air conditioning and refrigeration markets. Allied Air brings together the collective strengths of six comfort brands – Armstrong Air™, AirEase™, Concord™, Ducane™, Allied Commercial and Magic-Pak™. The company is headquartered in West Columbia, S.C., with its flagship manufacturing plant located in Orangeburg, S.C.

Sigmatex

$15+ million investment Growing to 100 jobs Founded in 1986, Sigmatex develops and manufactures carbon fiber textiles for composite material applications. The company works with clients from a diverse range of sectors including space, military, aerospace, automotive, renewable energy, consumer electronics, sports and leisure. Sigmatex designs, develops and produces cutting-edge materials that enable customers to achieve goals – whether they’re space travel, generating green energy or equipping National Hockey League players with advanced hockey stick technology. Its North American headquarters is located in Orangeburg, SC.

Husqvarna

Over $100M+ in the last 5 years Husqvarna North America, the Swedish maker of lawn mowers and various yard- and garden-care machinery, has a rich history that can be traced back to 1689. As the world’s largest producer of outdoor power products, including robotic lawn mowers, ride-on mowers and chainsaws, the company employs more than 14,000 employees in 43 countries across the globe. In addition to its global headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, Husqvarna’s largest operations are located in Germany, China, Japan and Orangeburg, SC.

The Quality Model Group

US operational headquarters is located in Orangeburg County, SC – $10M+ investment and 100 jobs Headquartered in Ontario, Canada, The QM Group is a leading international business, specializing in mold building, injection molding, urethane molding, thermoforming and secondary assembly. The company operates five North American facilities, including locations in Indiana, Michigan, Ontario and South Carolina. The Orangeburg County facility operates under The QM Group’s plastics division, which offers design, tool building and manufacturing services for the power sports, industrial, automotive and aftermarket industries.

Tri-County Electric Co-op and Aiken Electric Cooperative celebrates broadband success with new high-speed internet service Aiken Electric Cooperative made a $19 million investment in the placement of fiber technology and broadband into currently unserved rural areas of Western Orangeburg County. Tri-County Electric Co-Op is investing $10 million to bring high-speed service to every Tri-County member in the Santee, Elloree, Vance and Eutawville areas.

BUILDINGS & INDUSTRIAL GROWTH Orangeburg County provides a number of parks for various industrial needs All three parks listed below offer the latest in broadband technology enabling industries to be competitive in the 21st century economy.

Orangeburg County/City Industrial Park offers all utilities, protective covenants and one-half mile of interstate visibility. It is a 446± acre Class-A industrial site.

The Orangeburg County Industrial Park is a 93± acre county-owned development located south of the city. All improvements and utilities, which are serviced by the Orangeburg Department of Public Utilities, are in place. This park includes 20 acres 100+/airport property, along with a new spine road extension.

John W. Matthews, Jr. Industrial Park is comprised of 542± acres with approximately 350 developable acres of land. This park is located less than 10 minutes from 1-95 and 1-26. The park has all utilities.

Carolina Regional Commerce Park is 87± acres. It is located on I-26 at Exit 145 (US601) and is a privately held park with multi-tenant and build-to-suit opportunities. Excellent interstate exposure with nearly 80,000 vehicles passing daily.

The 125± acres of the Western Orangeburg County Industrial Park has a 75-acre pad-ready site and easy access to I-20 and I-26. The site boasts direct access to the CSX main rail line and has an elevated water storage tank. (Rendering)
