Who says you can’t HAVE IT ALL During FY 2020-2021, Clarendon County has announced more economic investments and jobs created than at any other time in history. Despite the challenging times brought on by COVID-19, Clarendon County has seen record-breaking economic development growth.

The Clarendon County Economic Development team promotes the success of existing industry and recruits companies and entrepreneurs worldwide to be part of our exciting future and join our growing economy. We are focused on continuously investing in industry and workforce development, infrastructure improvements and initiatives that enhance overall quality of life.

We are located in the Central SC Region, close to the Port of Charleston. With I-95 running through its middle, Clarendon County provides direct north-south access along the length of the East Coast. Clarendon is considered a hidden gem of the Palmetto State. Home to Lake Marion, the largest lake in South Carolina, we are an outdoor enthusiast’s dream destination. Fishing, boating, hunting and golf are just a few favorite pastimes found in our county. Ripe with nature and full of possibilities, you’re sure to fall in love with Clarendon County.

F. Hunt Enterprises, a distributor of one of the nation’s largest made-to-order pizza brands in convenience stores, announced plans to build distribution space in Clarendon County, South Carolina. The company purchased five acres in the Clarendon County Industrial Park to construct a new building.

The refrigerated space will be used to house products for Hunt Brothers® Pizza, which will be distributed daily to convenience stores across the East Coast. The new building will neighbor other reputable companies in the Clarendon County Industrial Park park like Alucoil North America, Meritor, Westinghouse and more.
