Theteamcurrentlycarriespulse oximeterswhichcanbeplaced onthefingertip.However,attimes itcanbedifficulttoaccurately assessandmeasureoxygen levelsinsomepatientsdueto factorssuchascoldextremities orirregularpulses Thenew oximetersusetheearlobeto accuratelytakeoxygen measurements.
