The 120 years of NWS have already been mentioned. Where does Steuger see the most pressing challenges of the future? And how does the company respond? “There are primarily two developments. One is the trend towards mechanisation and digitisation, which has fully taken hold of our industry, too. Perimeter protection, hazard protection
systems, video technology, detectors to unmanned gate and access control systems, virtual tours by means of video control centres via cameras or drones, and robotic or mobile video surveillance, are all topics which have become increasingly important in recent years. We have identified these developments and have long since arrived in the aforementioned technological future. And we keep on developing. The other topic is sustainability. We published our first sustainability report in April 2021. It confirms that for us the key to security is green. Hence we are one of the first, if not the only company in the security industry, to operate climate-neutrally. For us, as a traditional family business, it is natural to consider future generations in our entrepreneurial activities and decisions.
