People who have travelled with a campervan in the middle of nowhere will know the advantage of having a camping toilet on board. Emptying a chemical toilet is not a thankful task, though; due to the harmful chemicals, they often develop unpleasant smells and can only be emptied at special emptying stations – the route must therefore be planned accordingly. Trelino® solves these problems.
Wer mit dem Campervan Mitten im Nirgendwo unterwegs ist, der ist oft dankbar für die gute, alte Campingtoilette an Bord. Die Entleerung der Chemietoilette gehört aber zu den unangenehmsten Aufgaben: Aufgrund umweltschädlicher Chemikalien entstehen Gerüche und die Toilette kann nur an speziellen Entsorgungsstationen entleert werden – man muss seine Route also entsprechend planen. Trelino® beseitigt diese Probleme.
“Contrary to chemical toilets, the composting toilet doesn’t need water or chemicals to work,” says Markus Becker. The co-founder of Camper Active GmH in Düsseldorf is an enthusiastic camper and in the spirit of sustainability mostly works with regional companies. With Trelino®, he refined the composting toilet to create an attractive, high-quality and long-lasting product, “a statement against consumerism”. The composting toilet has an insert that separates liquid and solid excretions. “The container for solids uses a compostable bin liner, so that faeces can be discarded with the normal rubbish.” The urine compartment can easily be emptied in the toilet – or, diluted with water, can be used as fertiliser. www.trelino.com 26 |

„Im Gegensatz zu einer Chemietoilette benötigt eine Trenntoilette in ihrer Funktionsweise weder Wasser noch chemische Stoffe“, sagt Markus Becker. Der Co-Gründer der Camper Active GmbH mit Sitz in Düsseldorf ist Vollblutcamper und arbeitet im Sinne der Nachhaltigkeit überwiegend mit regionalen Firmen zusammen. Mit Trelino® entwickelte er das Prinzip der Trenntoilette zu einem ansprechenden, hochwertigen und langlebigen Produkt weiter, „ein Statement gegen eine Wegwerfgesellschaft“. Die Trenntoilette besteht aus einem Einsatz, der feste und flüssige Ausscheidungen in separaten Behälter aufteilt. „Der Feststoffbehälter wird mit einem kompostierbaren Müllbeutel ausgekleidet, sodass die Hinterlassenschaften einfach im Restmüll entsorgt werden können.“ Den Urinbehälter kann man einfach in eine Toilette entleeren – oder den Inhalt mit Wasser verdünnt als Dünger nutzen.
