Situated on 20,000 square metres, the St. Jakobshalle Basel offers endless possibilities. With 11 halls, it is one of the most modern multipurpose venues in Europe. This flexibility is ideal for concerts and musicals, as well as sporting and corporate events.

“We have a healthy mix of corporate and entertainment,” says director Thomas Kastl about the current usage. It includes everything “from classic to rock and pop, large and small sporting events, up to ballet”. One example shows the flexibility: in 2021, the St. Jakobshalle Basel hosted the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships, and events like that truly need diverse spaces to host them.
„Wir haben einen gesunden Mix aus Corporate und Entertainment“, sagt Direktor Thomas Kastl über die derzeitige Nutzung. „Von Klassik zu Rock und Pop, Großsport und Kleinsport, bis hin zum Ballett“ ist alles dabei. Ein Beispiel aus dem Sport zeigt anschaulich die Flexibilität: 2021 fanden hier die Kunstturneuropameisterschaft statt und Events wie diese brauchen entsprechend vielseitige Räume.
A part of the St. Jakobshalle Basel’s emphasis lies on concerts. Recently the arena has been extended from 8,000 to 12,400 seats, so that the hall offers enough space for the concerts of international stars. Above that, the St. Jakobshalle Basel lies strategically in the triangle between Germany, France and Switzerland.

Jüngst ist die Arena von 8.000 auf 12.400 Plätze erweitert worden, so dass die Halle beispielsweise Platz für Konzerte internationaler Stars bietet. A highlight for tennis fans is the Swiss Indoors 2022 at the end of October. As part of the ATP 500 series, the tournament is considered the largest sporting event in Switzerland. Ticket sales start in April.
Ein Höhepunkt für alle Tennisfans sind die Swiss Indoors 2022 Ende Oktober. Als Teil der ATP 500 Serie gilt das Tennisturnier als das größte Sportevent der Schweiz. Ticketvorverkauf beginnt im April.
