Situated right on the border between the hip Berlin quarters of Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg, the office blends in with the galleries, startups and manufactures, boutiques and restaurants that shape the area in a colorful mix.

The architect began his path in hotel architecture, working for HENN architects alongside with the Andrée Putman Paris Studio for the Ritz Carlton in Wolfsburg. As project manager for amj design, he was responsible for concept, design, planning and realization of conference, SPA and representative spaces for hotels in the 5 star category, such as the Berlin Adlon Hotel or the Aachen Quellenhof.

Inspired by this backdrop, STUDIOHANSEN develop a specific understanding of creativity for each project, freely following the idea of Hans Scharoun to organically explore essence and structure of the building task as the source for the design. The result is a unique, sensual design language for both space and detail, tailor-cut to the needs and personality of the individual client. difference between an open-minded, smart Russian billionaire planning to build a hotel, a German Rapper or a pop-up presentation in Berlin Mitte – what counts is the design task itself.” At STUDIOHANSEN, curiosity for creative solutions derived from the inherent structural essence of the task is key. Or, as groundbreaking Italian designer Achille Castiglioni once put it: ‘If you are not curious, you can forget about it.’
