Relaxation between Rhine and Münsterland The country hotel Landhotel Voshövel in Schermbeck, situated in the Lower Rhine area, is the ideal place for both recreation and relaxation. Or, guests can relax on the design sofa with a serene view over the garden and water: The only thing missing then is a good friend and a cup of herbal tea. Head into nature by bike or by foot A study has recently determined that spending two hours daily, out and about in nature, will increase health and mental wellbeing. Landhotel Voshövel offers the ideal surroundings for long walks and relaxing moments. On a mild summer’s day, the woodlands and meadows can be explored by bike – followed by a peaceful picnic. The hotel also borders a golf course, and no less than 13 more are in close proximity.

Anyone hungry after a long day outdoors or post-relaxation in the spa area, will find a healthy snack in the living room spa and a creative kitchen in the hotel’s own restaurant. Zander fillet with chanterelle mushrooms is on the menu, as well as apricot and sage gnocchi or free-range rump steak, with strawberry sorbet or homemade pralines as dessert options. The four-course dinner menu changes every day, and “tasty, seasonal and made from good produce,” is the Michelin Guide’s verdict.
