HOTEL OF THE MONTH
Style, comfort and culinary highlights:
A unique design-hotel in the heart of Munich Roomers Munich is a new and exceptional design hotel not far from Munich’s city centre with its tourist attractions, museums, restaurants and bars. Designed by an Amsterdam based design office, the hotel combines great decorations and styling with all the comforts guests can expect of a high-class hotel: A relaxing spa area which will open in April, tasty food and drinks, and comfortable private rooms. The Roomers Munich’s credo is “a lifetime contains simple moments, simple moments contain a lifetime“, says Bardia Torabi, general manager of Roomers Munich. “It is important for us to create these special moments for our guests from day to day.”This idea already reflects in the chosen interior: The hotel’s design was created by the Amsterdam-based interior design office concrete, a design that caters to the curious traveller who enjoys the flair and lightness of contemporary design in a classic setting, as the designers put it. 50 | Issue 59 | February 2018
Surprise and discovering the unknown are part of the design concept that already starts with the outdoors: a vast Vegas like canopy above the entrance and the neon logo catch the guests’ attention. The public spaces are composed as pieces of a larger puzzle. The entrance lobby for example has brass finishes and two sheer curtains along either side. Rooms with that little extra touch All rooms and suites have a high-class décor and amenities including speakers
by Bang&Olufsen, Apple TV, Mira Cast, Nespresso coffee machine and iPad. The rooms are divided into three zones: an entrance area, the bedroom and living room towards the bright façade, and the bathroom in the darker zone of the building. The layout is very open and the zones are only loosely defined by sheer curtains and Bardia Torabi, General Manager of Roomers Munich.
