The famous ‘leitmotif’ for design and architecture ‘Form Follows Function’ is always at the heart of R. Horn’s approach. Since 1986 the designer and manufacturer for fine handmade leatherwear has relied on traditional craftsmanship and sensible designs to create outstanding travel bags, purses, briefcases and various accessories of long-lasting nature and quality.
The Viennese designer also offers customised products to make his customers’ wishes for more individuality and unique character come true. The results are personal products, which never exist twice and are completely aligned to each customer’s specific needs and ideas. From a beautiful suede violin case to a chest of drawers made of leather, and a leather container for a portable espresso machine, or simply an individual handbag: at R. Horn’s the sky is the limit and the workshop welcomes each new challenge.
Founder Robert Horn remembers the early days: “When my first collection was finished, a charming store at Bräunerstrasse, in the heart of Vienna, became available and the first R.
