Top Architecture & Design Firms 2026
GLUT – BURNING FOR ARCHITECTURE GLUT Architektur combines individual structures with forward-looking construction technology, because “if everyone wants the same thing, nothing new will ever be created.”
GLUT Architektur began to glow on 1 September 2021 and has quickly grown from an initial team of eight to 23 employees. Locations within the DACH region are currently Linz, Vienna and Munich. Additional international locations exist in coordination with partners in Quintao, China, and Palm Springs, California. The firm's diverse portfolio ranges from single-family homes to commercial and infrastructure projects through to modern residential construction. “The diversity of our projects reflects the team's enthusiasm, inspiration, and motivation for every task. We serve a wide range of clients, from private customers, investors, hotels, industrial and commercial enterprises through to global players,” says Habringer.
LOVEYOUGOETHE IN LINZ: GREEN, FUTURE-ORIENTED AND UNIQUE The LoveYouGoethe residential and commercial complex is currently being built in Austrian Linz, with a mix of 62 units ranging from 30 to 130 square metres, a co-working space, and 150 square metres of commercial space. The concept is visually striking, particularly due to its façade, whose selective greening creates a pleasant, relaxed structure and a variety of individual perspectives. Additional greenery is provided by green roofs and a garden in the inner courtyard. Penthouse apartments with roof terraces, spacious balconies for the other units, integrated underground parking as well as high-quality furnishings also score points in terms of quality of life. The variety on offer promises a lively mix of future inhabitants, says the client. “From micro-flats with innovative storage solutions all the way to flats with private gardens or penthouse apartments with rooftop terraces – here, the ideal home awaits every way of life – be it for students, families or investors.” The new residential project also scores highly in terms of energy

efficiency: with a heating requirement (HWB) of 30 kWh/m²a and a total energy efficiency factor (fGEE) of 0.71, the building meets the requirements for highly energy-efficient living. The colourful portfolio of forward-looking architecture will continue to expand steadily in the near future. “Our openness, honesty, and straightforwardness toward our clients concerning planned projects and those still running for the next two to three years, as well as our vision of global networking know no annual figures – only the future,” concludes Habringer. www.glut.at

The office name says it all, explains lead architect Rainer Habringer: “GLUT (embers) is the hottest element of fire and reflects our team's passion for architecture.” The motto is their motivation: openness, honesty, and straightforwardness toward clients serve as a daily driving force at the office.
