ZERO-ALCOHOL TASTE SENSATIONS – LEITZ CELEBRATES TEN YEARS OF EINS-ZWEI-ZERO It began in 2015 as a bold idea and has become a true success story: next year, JJ Leitz GmbH, a subsidiary of the established Leitz winery, will celebrate its tenth anniversary, marking ten innovative years of passion for (alcohol-free) wine.

From the sparkling SPRK Cuvée Spéciale to the elegant EINS-ZWEI-ZERO Riesling, JJ Leitz now offers a diverse portfolio of twelve distinctive alcohol-free products. A successful business model indeed. “With new formats such as canning, we are also reaching out to a younger customer group who want to enjoy alcohol-free wine in an uncomplicated, sustainable manner,” explains Jan Schmidt, managing director of JJ Leitz GmbH. Behind the scenes, much has been happening, too. From 2026, a new in-house bottling and dealcoholisation facility will open in Geisenheim. A real milestone! “This marks an 32

important step for us,” underlines Schmidt. “We’re gaining independence, further enhancing quality and creating space for new, creative ideas in product development.” The success of the alcohol-free range speaks for itself. This year alone, JJ Leitz GmbH has received numerous awards. The EINS-ZWEI-ZERO Riesling, SPRK Cuvée Spéciale and ZERO-POINT-FIVE Pinot Noir all won multiple national and international awards. The message is clear: alcohol-free wine can have character, depth and style.

Those who want to experience the wines and alcohol-free creations of Leitz or JJ Leitz themselves can find them in specialist shops, supermarkets, restaurants or directly at the winery. And of course, during a tasting – classic or alcohol-free – in Geisenheim. One thing is certain: the ZERO HEROES’ journey is far from over. In fact, it has only just begun. www.leitz-wein.de

For the festive season, Jan Schmidt and his team have prepared a few surprises. There is the alcohol-free ZERO-POINT-FIVE Mulled Wine with delicious notes of clove and cinnamon, and two new spritz varieties, Limoncello and Hibiscus, developed in collaboration with herbal specialist Dr Jaglas.

With its brand EINS-ZWEI-ZERO, the winery was ahead of its time. For what started as pioneering work has now evolved into a thriving segment with ever-growing demands and expectations.

Ten years of EINS-ZWEI-ZERO mark the start of a new era. “New products are already planned,” confirms Schmidt. “And let’s just say this: our sensory birthday bouquet will be colourful. Very colourful!”
