Daniel is a passionate photographer and world traveller, always in search for extraordinary places. His photographs thrive on atmosphere, light and the quiet presence of times gone by.
“I’m drawn to places where the past still lingers,” he explains. Michaela studied photography in the United States and discovered her passion for compositing during her time in Los Angeles and London. Early on, she realised that simply capturing a moment wouldn’t satisfy her artistic vision. “I want to create moments that challenge the concepts of time, place or reality.” Michaela and Daniel work from different perspectives, with a well-defined division of roles: Daniel photographs spaces and landscapes that set the stage for the artworks, while Michaela focuses on the conceptual aspects, giving each piece its own visual language and weaving together intricate details to compose multi-layered collages. This contrast not only creates inspiring narrative tension and unique artworks, but also a distinctive signature style. Kindle & González work mainly in the style of surrealism. They transform realistic details and spaces into new visual realms, influenced by personal perception, inner landscapes and subtle symbolism. “We draw inspiration from our own experiences, emotions, the untamed force of nature, and, of course, by the stories hidden in places, whether they are felt, seen or merely hinted at. “Our artworks tell stories and capture lived experiences,” says Michaela Kindle. She and Daniel Ricardo González have shared a close friendship for almost two decades. In 2018, they also connected on an artistic level and have since been creating their own unique visual worlds together.
