The Birth of Jesus Mary was pregnant. She was traveling with Joseph to the town of Bethlehem. While they were there, Mary gave birth in a stable. She wrapped up the baby boy, Jesus, and laid Him on a bed of hay. An angel told the shepherds in the fields about the newborn King, so they hurried off to see Him.

Luke 2:5-17

Jesus Teaches People Jesus told people how much God loves them. He taught what it means to be good and to love others. He said, “Blessed are the pure in heart.” and “Blessed are the peacemakers.” He chose twelve men to be His disciples and learn how to teach other people about God.

Luke 6:12-26, Matt 5:1-12

Jesus Feeds the Hungry Jesus did many miracles. One day, He was teaching five thousand people. The disciples did not have food to feed them. A boy brought his lunch of five loaves of bread and two fish to Jesus and He blessed it. The disciples passed it out and everyone had plenty to eat! Afterwards, the disciples gathered twelve baskets full of leftovers!

John 6:1-13, Luke 9:10-17

Jesus Saves Peter While the disciples were crossing a lake in a boat, the weather turned bad. Suddenly, they saw Jesus walking on the water. They were afraid, but Peter shouted, “Lord, if it’s you, tell me to come to you on the water.” Jesus said, “Come.” Peter stepped out and walked towards Jesus. Then, he looked down, got scared, and started to sink. Jesus reached out and saved him.

Matthew 14:22-31

Jesus Meets Zacchaeus People didn’t like Zacchaeus because he cheated them out of money. When Jesus was passing through town, Zacchaeus climbed a tree to get to see Him. When Jesus passed by, He looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, come down, I want to visit you at your house.” Jesus was not like other people. He loved everyone — even those who cheat. Luke 19:1-9

Jesus Blesses the Children Some people brought their children to Jesus, so He could bless them. His disciples told the people to stop bothering Jesus. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, don’t try to stop them! The children believe in Me and belong to God’s kingdom.” Jesus wants everyone to believe in Him just the way those children did!

Matthew 19:13-15
