Introduction It honors me to introduce this collection of student work from the SCAD sequential art department. This sampler only contains a small cross-section of what happens every day and every week in our department. You’ll see selections from storyboards, character designs, 3-D maquettes, concept art, cover art and, of course, comics. Thematically, you’ll find stories of action, adventure, humor, everyday life, fantasy, science fiction and superheroes.

Our students come from all over the world to form the largest and one of the oldest college departments dedicated to comics, graphic novels and storyboarding.

Our sequential art program prepares students to be leaders and entrepreneurs in visual storytelling. SCAD alumni are consistently nominated for prestigious awards and sought after by leading companies like Boom! Studios, Archaia Entertainment, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Oni Press, Legendary, Top Cow Productions, Floyd County Productions, Bento Box Entertainment, McFarlane Toys, N.E.C.A., Ogilvy and Mather, DirectTV, Trendy Entertainment, Schell Games, Kiz Studios, Scholastic, Image and Dreamworks.
