Coronation Day

On May 5th, Sierra Bernia School celebrated King

Charles III’s coronation early.

We had many delicious drinks and food. Primary also prepared some dances and songs.

Charles III:

He was born on November 14th, 1948.

He became king on September 8th, 2022.

He is a qualified pilot and diver.

He’s a watercolour painter.

He presented a weather forecast on the BBC.

Lemon cheesecake

Ingredients

● 100digestivebiscuits

● 40gbutter

● 250gcreamcheese

● 280mldoublecream

● 100gcastersugar

● Zestyof2½lemons

● 5tsplemonjuice

● 75mlofdoublecream

● 4slicesoflemon

Instructions:

1. Linethebaseofan18cmroundloosebottomed tinwithgreaseproofpaperorareusablebaking liner.

2. Meltthebutter,crushthebiscuitsandmixwith meltedbutter.

3. Putthebiscuitsmixintothepreparedtinand usethebackofaspoontopushitflat.Putthe tinintothefridgetochillwhileyoumakethe topping.

4.Finelygratethezestof2½lemons.Squeezeout thejuiceuntilyouhaveenoughfor5tspandset aside.

5.Whipthedoublecreamuntilitformsasoftpeak. Addthecreamcheesecastersugar,lemonzestand lemonjuice.

6.Removethetinfromthefridgeandaddthe lemonmixture.Addalittleatatimeandpushthe mixturedownwiththebackofaspoon,sothere arenogaps. Onceyou’veaddedallofyourlemonmixture, smooththetopwithapaletteknife.

7.Whenyou’rereadytoserve,carefullyremovethe cheesecakefromthetin.Youmayfindtheedges becomealittlesmudgedasyoudothis.Ifthis happens,simplyrunasmallpaletteknifearound theedgeofthecheesecaketosmoothitoutagain.
